MADRID, Spain, October 24, 2026. One of the hardest things about emotional abuse is that it often has no name while it is happening. The person living through it feels confused, guilty and alone, and the words that would describe the pattern arrive much later, if they arrive at all. Mike Sain't Louis, the Madrid-based lyricist, composer and music producer who created Planeta Gayfolk, has made giving those words a central part of his work. His stated mission is to make narcissistic abuse visible, and a whole strand of his catalogue does exactly that, one mechanism at a time.
This release looks at four songs from that strand. Each one focuses on a different moment of the pattern, and together they form a kind of vocabulary that listeners have been sharing with friends who are still inside the story.
Why these songs exist
Mike has explained publicly that he spent around two decades in relationships with partners who manipulated him, and that when he finally exposed them, they turned people close to him against him. Songs became the only space where he could tell his version without being interrupted. Today he is in treatment and speaks about his recovery openly, with the hope that someone else will recognise the signs faster than he did. The characters in the songs are not identified; what matters is the pattern, not the person.
The word itself: «Gaslighting»
The most direct track takes its title from the term that has become shorthand for a specific kind of manipulation: being told that what you saw and felt did not happen. The song opens with that exact move, «Me dices baby no pasó / Que lo soñé, que todo fui yo», you tell me baby it didn't happen, that I dreamed it, that it was all me.
The answer comes immediately, in a mix of Spanish and English that gives it the snap of a dance-floor comeback: «Pero sorry, yo sé bien / Lo que vi, lo que sentí también». The narrator trusts their own memory again. By the chorus the tone is pure celebration, «Gaslighting, gaslighting, / Gracias pero no», thanks but no thanks, and the song closes the case with a line that lands with the finality of a referee's whistle: «game is done».
What makes the track effective is that it never lectures. It dramatises the moment of clarity, the instant when the fog lifts, and sets it to a beat strong enough to dance away the doubt.
The silence after: “El descarte del narcisista”
If «Gaslighting» is about reclaiming reality, “El descarte del narcisista” is about surviving the coldness that can come at the end. The "discard" is the stage when the manipulator withdraws completely, often replacing the partner overnight, leaving them with a mountain of questions.
The song is unusual because it is addressed to someone else. Its narrator speaks to another person going through the same thing: «Yo se que lloras todos los días / Pero yo estoy contigo». And then the line that has made the track a quiet favourite among survivors: «¡No estás sola!», you are not alone. The lyric lists the lies that might have been told, age, nationality, even eye colour or a job title, and in doing so it validates something survivors often hear dismissed: that the deception can reach the smallest details.
It is a song of solidarity before it is a song of anger, and that choice says a lot about the spirit of the whole project.
The strategy: “Manual de escape de un narci”
The third track is presented, with deliberate humour, as a recipe. “Manual de escape de un narci”, an escape manual, adopts the rhythm of urban music and the structure of a step-by-step guide, complete with numbered-feeling verses and emphatic refrains. Its central idea is that the manipulator feeds on reaction: «Primero que nada, no le des reacción».
The refrain distils the logic of the whole strand in one sentence: «Su mayor castigo es verte brillar», their greatest punishment is seeing you shine. The song even anticipates the return with tears and apologies, warning that it may hide «otro plan de manipulación». The tone is cheeky, but the content is the hard-won knowledge of someone who learned it the long way round.
The door: «No te vuelvo a mirar más»
The fourth song is the most literary of the group and the most serene. «No te vuelvo a mirar más», I won't look at you again, is built on contrasts that expose hypocrisy line by line: «Me juraste respeto y me escupiste desprecio». It names the victim act directly, «Te inventaste un papel de víctima de saldo», a bargain-bin victim role.
The chorus is a set of four quiet refusals, ending with the title. And the final image is one of the most beautiful in the catalogue: the narrator leaves a scent clinging to the doorframe and closes the door slowly, «y cerré despacio para no dar la vuelta», so as not to turn around. No shouting, no revenge. Just a door, closed gently, for good.
A vocabulary for listeners
Played in sequence, the four songs move from confusion to clarity, from isolation to solidarity, from strategy to peace. They do not replace professional help, and the project never claims they do; Mike credits his own treatment openly. What they offer is language. For someone who has not yet found the words, hearing the pattern named in a chorus can be the first step.
How the songs were made
Mike Sain't Louis writes all his lyrics and directs the production of each track. The music and vocal performance are made with AI, his production and arranging tool. He presents himself as the first AI songwriter, «el primer cantautor IA».
