VANCOUVER, British Columbia, July 17, 2026 — iVoteLiberal.com, an independent Canadian public-interest accountability site, today published a new article examining transparency questions surrounding Canada’s vaccine-injury support system after the Public Health Agency of Canada brought the Vaccine Impact Assistance Program in-house.
The article, “The Vaccine-Injury Support Reset Needs a Public Ledger,” argues that the debate should focus on administrative accountability: claim counts, appeal outcomes, processing times, approval and denial reasons, payment ranges, administrative costs, audit fixes, Quebec comparators, and the open-file inventory.
iVoteLiberal.com says the issue is not whether every individual claim can be adjudicated in public, but whether Canadians can see if the compensation system is fast, fair, transparent and auditable. The article notes that PHAC has described a program transition, a new secure portal, clearer rules, claimant information sessions, contact-centre training, and the transfer of active claims and appeals from the former administrator.
The article also points to the announced Allison Inquiry hearings as an accountability signal while stressing that testimony is not the same thing as medical causation. iVoteLiberal.com argues the responsible path is to publish operational data without prejudging individual cases or turning anecdotes into national medical findings.
“If Ottawa wants public trust after the pandemic, it can start with the people it already acknowledges may need support. Publish the ledger,” the article says.
