ELGIN, 16 October 2026 — Businesses in Elgin and across Moray — a region built on whisky, food production and agriculture — can now get computer faults repaired remotely for a fixed £39.99, under a no-contract service launched by Glasgow-based Riverbank IT Systems.
Moray's economy is famous for one thing but runs on many: distilleries and bottling operations, food and drink producers, agricultural suppliers, tourism businesses and the small service firms that support them. Much of the county is genuinely rural, and for businesses outside Elgin itself, professional IT help has usually meant waiting for an engineer to travel from Inverness or Aberdeen.
Remote repair eliminates that wait for the faults that stop offices most often. For £39.99 plus VAT, a Riverbank engineer connects remotely and spends up to 20 minutes diagnosing and fixing the problem — email and Microsoft 365 outages, printer and network failures, malware clean-ups, password and account issues, and machines that will not start. Anything needing longer, parts or an on-site visit is quoted in writing before further work.
"Moray businesses are efficient by nature — food and drink producers cannot afford waste anywhere, including their IT bill," said Timothy A., founder of Riverbank IT Systems. "£39.99 for the first 20 minutes of a remote fix, a written quote if it needs more, no contract. You should not have to be in Aberdeen or Inverness to get your email back the same day."
The service runs 24/7 — matching distilling and food-production schedules — with urgent faults triaged within minutes and no retainer required.
Riverbank IT Systems serves Elgin, Forres, Buckie, Lossiemouth, Keith and the wider Moray area remotely from its Glasgow base, quoting separately for on-site work where a fault genuinely cannot be fixed remotely.
