A castle of silence: «Antisocial», «Entre cuatro paredes» and the right to a small world

Two songs by Mike Sain't Louis look at solitude from opposite sides: one as a tunnel without light, the other as a fortress chosen on purpose. Together they offer an honest portrait of social anxiety and loyalty, free to download.

MADRID, Spain, October 24, 2026. Pop music loves crowds. Its anthems are written for packed rooms, its videos are full of parties and its lyrics tend to assume that happiness is something that happens among many people. Mike Sain't Louis, the Madrid-based lyricist, composer and music producer behind Planeta Gayfolk, has written plenty of songs for crowded dance floors. But he has also written some of the most candid songs about the opposite experience: being alone, wanting to be alone, and the very thin line between those two states.

This release looks at two of them. They were written in very different moods, and listening to them side by side says something important about solitude that is rarely said in a chorus.

The context

Mike has been open about his mental health. After many years in relationships marked by narcissistic abuse, he has been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress, severe depression, social phobia, avoidant personality disorder and anxiety, and today he is in psychiatric and psychological treatment. He shares those facts publicly not to dramatise them but to make them less taboo, and because songs were the place where he could finally express what he felt. These two tracks belong to that effort.

The tunnel: «Entre cuatro paredes»

«Entre cuatro paredes», "Between four walls", is the darker of the two. It begins with a line of total exhaustion: «No me aparece una ilusión», no hope comes to me, followed immediately by «No me apetece salir de la habitación», I don't want to leave the room. The strength and motivation are gone, and the title image completes the picture: «Y estoy sólo entre estas cuatro paredes».

What makes the song so recognisable to people who have lived through depression is one particular paradox it captures: «Siempre apartado entre tanta gente», always set apart among so many people. Loneliness, the lyric understands, is not the same as being physically alone. It can happen in a full room.

The middle of the song piles up absences in a long sequence of negations: no answers around, no warmth of love, no colours, no end to the tunnel. «No veo el final de este túnel sin luz», I can't see the end of this lightless tunnel. Then, at the very end, something shifts, almost imperceptibly. After «No puedo seguir en esta oscuridad», I can't go on in this darkness, and «No quiero perderme en esta soledad», comes the first positive verb in the whole song: «pero algo en mí pide respirar», but something in me asks to breathe.

That last line is small and enormous at once. It is not a cure or a happy ending. It is the first sign of a will that survives inside the tunnel, and it is where recovery begins. Anyone who recognises themselves in this song should know that they do not have to find the way out alone: in Spain, the 024 line offers free support at any hour, and outside Spain local emergency and crisis lines can help.

The fortress: «Antisocial»

«Antisocial» looks at solitude from the other side. Here the isolation is not a tunnel the narrator is trapped in but a space he has chosen and defends. The song opens by answering an insult and describing a deliberate way of living: «es solo que elijo mi propia soledad», it's just that I choose my own solitude.

The chorus is a portrait of someone who has redrawn the borders of his world with great precision. «Antisocial, sí, ese soy yo», antisocial, yes, that's me. He is not looking for new faces and is not interested in small talk. What matters is the people he already knows: «Solo me importan aquellos que ya conozco / y siempre van a estar».

The images that follow belong to the language of castles and armour. «Evito las miradas, los saludos en la calle», I avoid glances and greetings in the street. «mi silencio es un castillo, yo una armadura sin llave», my silence is a castle, and I am armour without a key. The world is small but unbreakable: «mi mundo es pequeño, pero es inquebrantable».

And then the song reveals its warm core, the reason the fortress exists at all. «Pero a los pocos elegidos, mi lealtad es eterna», but to the chosen few, my loyalty is eternal. The narrator also says he prefers his animals a thousand times over the company of a manipulator. Solitude here is not coldness; it is protection, and behind its walls there is enormous tenderness for those allowed in.

Two sides of one experience

Heard together, the songs show that solitude is not one thing. There is the solitude that hurts, the room that becomes a prison, and the solitude that heals, the small, loyal world built after too much exposure to people who did harm. Many people move between the two, sometimes in the same week.

The songs never claim to settle which one is right. «Entre cuatro paredes» asks for air; «Antisocial» claims the right to close the door. Both are honest. For listeners with social anxiety or after long periods of manipulation, that honesty is a relief: their small world is not a failure, and their darkest days are not the whole story.
