ASTORIA, N.Y. — October 26, 2026 — New Year's Eve falls on Thursday, December 31, 2026, and restaurants, bars, event venues, hotels, and towns hosting countdown and First Night events start selling tickets and reservations in November. 48 Hours Banners (https://48hoursbanners.com) is sharing a New Year's Eve event signage plan for venues and community organizers.Signage checklist:
- A storefront or venue banner promoting the New Year's Eve event, with a QR code for tickets or reservations.
- A step-and-repeat or photo backdrop banner for guest photos at midnight.
- A retractable banner at the entrance or host stand with the night's schedule and package options.
- Yard signs for parking, rideshare pickup, and entrance directions.
Tips:
- Order the promotion banner early so it can sell tickets through December.
- Put the year on the photo backdrop, and keep promotion banners date-light so they can be reused.
- Add a rideshare pickup sign to help guests get home safely.
"New Year's Eve tickets sell through December, so the promotion banner should go up weeks before the party," said a spokesperson for 48 Hours Banners. "With 48-hour delivery and free overnight shipping, venues can update their plans late in the season and still be ready."
