31 October 2026 — Bonbon Group Ltd is highlighting the 26 October release of version 1.6 of Valo, its free iPhone and iPad social networking app. Apple's App Store record describes the update as “Improvements to group invitations and navigation.” The October date is the update date, not Valo's original launch date.Valo is designed to help people meet online through conversations about shared interests. People can explore public groups, join a discussion or create a group around an interest of their own. A shared topic can give a conversation an opening without requiring an existing contact list.
The app supports text, photos and voice notes in group conversations, and one-to-one chats when people want to continue talking. The App Store listing also describes group admin and moderator controls. Valo is not a dating app or an in-person meetup service.
Making new connections as an adult can feel difficult. Valo's approach is to start with a topic people care about; this is a design intention, not evidence of a measured reduction in loneliness. No active-community size or user outcome is claimed here.
