TheSteamery.com, an online marketplace built for one trade, steam cleaning, is connecting households and businesses with vetted local steam-cleaning professionals, and is now introducing the model to Canadian homeowners, property managers and businesses. "Steam cleaning pros told us they were tired of paying monthly fees for leads that were shared with too many competitors," said a spokesperson for the company. "TheSteamery.com shows the price and the level of sharing up front. A lead is either exclusive or shared with a small, capped number of pros, and once a pro unlocks it, that customer contact is theirs to keep."
The platform covers three kinds of work:
- Carpets, upholstery and rugs, including sofas, mattresses and delicate wool or silk rugs
- Tile, grout and hard floors in kitchens, bathrooms and living areas
- Commercial and specialist cleaning for offices, hospitality, vehicles and industrial sites, including recurring contracts
From Toronto condos to Ottawa offices, matching is modelled on how steam cleaning work really happens: by surface, material, job size and urgency. Once a pro unlocks a lead, the customer's full contact details are revealed instantly so the pro can confirm scope, access and pricing directly.
"For customers it is simple: tell us what needs cleaning and get matched with vetted local pros ready to quote, with no obligation," the spokesperson added.
