Glasgow, Scotland — Riverbank IT Systems has added a dedicated cyber security review to its discounted support programme for Scottish charities and not-for-profit organisations.Charities hold donor data, payment details and beneficiary records, yet often run on small budgets and volunteer-heavy teams - a combination attackers actively target through phishing and business email compromise.
The review concentrates on the areas where charity incidents most often start: Microsoft 365 configuration, multi-factor authentication coverage, administrator account separation, email security, backup reliability and ransomware readiness. Cyber Essentials preparation is also available where appropriate.
Organisations receive a plain-English list of what matters, what needs fixing first and what can wait. Eligible charities, SCIOs and CICs receive a 75% reduction on Riverbank's standard labour rate for the first 40 hours of any resulting remediation work.
"We see the same handful of weaknesses behind most charity incidents," the company said. "Most are not expensive to fix - they just need someone to look."
