Glasgow, Scotland - Riverbank IT Systems has published a plain-English guide comparing Google Cloud, AWS and Microsoft Azure for Scottish businesses choosing a cloud provider.The guide covers what actually matters to SMEs rather than startups: real costs including licensing and forgotten VMs, UK data residency, Microsoft 365 integration, the Scottish partner ecosystem and migration pitfalls.
"Businesses search 'Google vs AWS vs Azure' and get marketing pages from the three vendors themselves," said a spokesperson for the Glasgow-based firm. "We wrote the comparison we actually give clients - most Scottish SMEs on Microsoft 365 land on Azure because licence reuse can cut costs by 40 percent, but the honest answer always depends on what the business already runs."
The guide also flags timing issues: Azure's older Dv3, Dsv3, Ev3 and Esv3 VM families retire in November 2029 and v1/v2 prices rise roughly 25 percent from February 2027 - a factor in any cloud decision made now.
