GLASGOW, 12 October 2026 — Riverbank IT Systems, a Glasgow-based managed IT and cyber security provider, has launched a penetration testing service priced for small and medium-sized businesses that need CREST-standard reports without the London consultancy price tag.
Penetration testing — authorised simulated attacks on a company's systems — is increasingly required by cyber insurers, large customers and public-sector tenders. Until now, many Scottish SMEs have avoided it because of cost and complexity.
Riverbank's service covers external and internal networks, web applications, infrastructure and phishing/social engineering. Every test starts with a written scope and ends with two documents: an executive summary for business owners and a technical report with evidence and remediation steps. A retest is included where agreed.
"The bad guys are already testing your defences," said Timothy A., founder of Riverbank IT Systems. "We test them first, show you what an attacker could actually do, and tell you which fixes matter most. No scare tactics. Just facts."
Tests can be booked as a one-off project or as part of an ongoing cyber security support plan. Remote testing is standard; on-site work can be arranged where required.
