Sturgis, Michigan — November 7, 2026 — Michael Shook Jr., an ordained minister and championship youth football coach, has released his new book, "Faithful Strength for The Relentless Man: A Christian Man's Path to Purpose, Grit, and Resilience." The independently published first edition is available now on Amazon in paperback and Kindle formats.The book is a gritty, honest, Scripture-grounded field manual for the Christian man who is sick of his own excuses. Across 17 chapters in five parts, Shook calls men to build their identity on Christ rather than on results, to take radical ownership of their lives, to build resilience through prayer and chosen hardship, to lead by serving, and to keep their word even when it costs them.
Shook's own story gives that message its weight. He spent more than ten years in meth addiction. Today he has been sober for more than five years, has coached a youth football team to a championship, and serves as an ordained minister.
The book is written as a call to work rather than a pep talk. It opens from the idea that most men don't need more information; they need to stop negotiating with what they already know.
