James Fedos, a Filipino-American novelist and actor, has completed fifteen novels in approximately one year after beginning his writing career in July 2025. Three of those novels—Abort Condition, No Safe Landing, and The City That Couldn't Sleep—are currently available, marking the beginning of a growing catalog of original thriller and historical fiction.Fedos writes across multiple genres, including political thrillers, aviation suspense, conspiracy thrillers, and historical fiction. His work focuses on immersive storytelling, memorable characters, and stories designed to endure beyond a single book. His long-term objective is to build original intellectual property for publishing, television, and film.
Among his completed manuscripts is Ashes of Sherwood, a historical thriller that reimagines the origin of the Sheriff of Nottingham through political intrigue, ambition, and moral conflict. Rather than retelling the traditional Robin Hood legend, the novel explores the making of one of literature's most recognizable antagonists.
Before becoming a novelist, Fedos served in the United States Coast Guard from 2002 to 2011 before spending fifteen years supporting the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security, and State as a defense contractor and program manager. He has also worked as an actor since 2015.
"My goal has never been to write just one book," said Fedos. "I'm building a body of original stories that readers can enjoy today and that can continue growing through publishing, television, and film."
