HM Aviation has launched its latest Airbus A320 Type Rating program, sending 10 Indian CPL holders to Acron Aviation, Bangkok. The 45-day DGCA-aligned training covers A320 systems, SOPs, emergency procedures, and simulator sessions. The program strengthens HM Aviation’s partnership with Acron Aviation while helping pilots progress toward airline-ready careers.

HM Aviation has officially started it’s latest Airbus A320 Type Rating program, sending a new cohort of 10 Indian pilots to Bangkok, Thailand. The group began their intensive training on August 1 at Acron Aviation’s world-class simulator training facility, marking another major step forward in their aviation journey .

This latest batch reflects the strong, ongoing partnership between Delhi-based company HM Aviation and Acron Aviation Bangkok. Over the years, the two organizations have worked hand-in-hand to offer aspiring aviators a seamless bridge from their basic flight training to advanced, airline-ready qualifications. By combining international simulator capacity with strict adherence to Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) standards, the partnership ensures Indian pilots receive top-tier type rating training that meets both global industry expectations and home-country regulatory mandates.
The 45-day program is fast-paced, highly detailed, and built entirely around the DGCA A320 Type Rating syllabus. Throughout the course, the pilots will dive deep into theoretical ground school before transitioning to full-flight simulators. They will master complex A320 aircraft systems, standard operating procedures (SOPs), emergency management, and multi-crew cooperation. The ultimate goal is to transform skilled Commercial Pilot Licence holders into confident, competent first officers capable of handling one of the world's most popular commercial jetliners.
"Every new batch represents months of hard work, dedication, and ambition from these young aviators," said a spokesperson for HM Aviation. "Transitioning onto a commercial jet like the A320 is one of the most exciting milestones in a pilot's career. Acron Aviation’s Bangkok facility offers the exact operational environment, cutting-edge tech, and experienced instructors needed to make that transition smooth and effective. We wish all 10 pilots the absolute best over these next six weeks and look forward to welcoming them back to India fully rated."
For newly minted CPL holders , securing an A320 Type Rating is often the single most critical step toward landing an airline job.
HM Aviation continues to act as a hands-on guide for pilots navigating this transition. Beyond coordinating overseas simulator slots, the academy provides end-to-end support , helping candidates understand DGCA paperwork, course breakdowns, curriculum expectations, timeline planning, and transparent program costs.
As this current batch settles into their routine in Bangkok, HM Aviation is already preparing for upcoming intakes.
