Arunachal Pradesh-based independent artist expands from music into acting and cinematic storytellingARUNACHAL PRADESH, INDIA — September 2026 — Independent singer-songwriter and actor H R Khai is expanding his creative work into screen entertainment with “BOUND (바운드)”, an independent BL drama project currently in development.
The project marks another chapter in H R Khai’s creative journey, following his work as an independent recording artist and songwriter.
ABOUT “BOUND (바운드)”
“BOUND (바운드)” is being developed as a romantic youth drama centered around two fictional characters, Hai and Minjun Choi.
The project explores themes of emotional connection, relationships, uncertainty and personal growth through a contemporary BL drama format.
Inspired by the visual style of Korean drama and BL storytelling, the project places emphasis on cinematic presentation, character-driven scenes and emotional storytelling.
FROM MUSIC TO ACTING
H R Khai has developed his creative work through independent music, with releases including “Polaroids,” “Last Summer,” “Ghost Of You,” “Evermine,” “Layover,” “Why You Stayed,” “Windows Down,” “Stay On Me” and “Dew.”
His move into acting and screen storytelling allows him to explore another creative medium while continuing to develop his identity as an independent artist.

The project is being developed alongside H R Khai’s wider creative activities under H R Khai Records, an independent platform for music, visual content and entertainment projects.
The platform supports H R Khai’s development of original independent work across multiple areas of entertainment.
