Tkacheva says the most common mistake when clients order furniture on their own is the absence of a single system. When items are chosen separately, the interior can lose coherence: dimensions do not match, materials and finishes compete with one another, and technical solutions have to be changed after renovation is already underway.
"When pieces are selected independently of each other, the interior can lose its integrity. We start from the project and assemble every item into one coordinated system," Tkacheva said.
Work begins with a design project or a technical brief. Specialists at Duomo Project, with more than 10 years of experience, select factories and models, agree materials, finishes and dimensions, then prepare a unified specification and cost estimate. The team then monitors production and keeps the client informed about the status of the order.
The studio works with leading Italian manufacturers and verified suppliers to protect both quality and lead times. Particular attention is given to careful delivery: furniture is packed with care, transported from Italy and delivered either to a warehouse or directly to the site. The final stage is professional assembly and installation. The team coordinates the fit-out, inspects the finished interior and hands over all documents and warranties to the client.
According to Tkacheva, many later problems can be prevented at the design stage. That is especially important for kitchens, where the team has to account for utilities, ventilation, electrics, lighting, ergonomics and ceiling height, and then match those technical decisions to what a specific factory can actually produce.
"We do not simply select furniture. We have to understand how it will exist inside a specific space and which technical solutions will be required before renovation even starts. The earlier we join the project, the lower the risk of rework, mismatches and lost time," she said.
Duomo Project also acts as a technical partner for architects and designers, taking on specifications, factory communication and production control.
"I personally oversee orders, logistics and the removal of any delays, protecting both the designer and the client from operational routine," Tkacheva said.
