BSCOBBER Tests OmniPump-1 on a Stand-Up Paddleboard, Reaching Approximately 10 PSI in 20 Minutes

BSCOBBER has tested its OmniPump-1 10-in-1 portable inflator on a 10.6-foot stand-up paddleboard (SUP). In two tests conducted at approximately 20°C, the device reached around 10 PSI after 20 minutes of continuous inflation. The company also shares practical limitations and recommends 12V DC vehicle power for longer inflation sessions.

CHENGDU, China – October 2, 2026 – BSCOBBER has shared the results of two stand-up paddleboard (SUP) inflation tests conducted with its OmniPump-1 10-in-1 portable inflator. The tests examined how the compact device performs when inflating a large-volume inflatable product and whether its built-in battery is suitable for longer inflation sessions.
The testing followed a practical question from a Kickstarter backer: Can OmniPump-1 inflate a SUP?
According to BSCOBBER, the answer is yes, although the company emphasizes that SUP inflation takes considerably longer than inflating a bicycle tire or sports ball. The company says it conducted repeated tests to better understand the device's performance and limitations in this application.
Testing a 10.6-Foot SUP
Both tests used a 10.6-foot stand-up paddleboard at an ambient temperature of approximately 20°C. The team monitored pressure development during extended inflation, paying particular attention to the initial inflation stage and the time required to build pressure.
During the first approximately 10 minutes, the board gradually took shape as air entered the large internal volume. Pressure increased more slowly during this initial stage. Once the board had largely taken shape, the pump began working against increasing internal pressure.
After 15 minutes of continuous inflation, the first test recorded approximately 5.8 PSI. The second test showed a similar overall pattern.
The team then continued the tests to approximately 20 minutes. Both tests reached around 10 PSI by that point.
Under these specific test conditions, the results provide a reference point for inflating a 10.6-foot SUP from a fully deflated state to approximately 10 PSI in about 20 minutes.
BSCOBBER notes that these figures represent its own test results and should not be interpreted as guaranteed inflation times for every paddleboard. Actual performance may vary depending on board size, required pressure, starting conditions, temperature and other factors.
Extended Operation and Power Considerations
Because SUP inflation involves a much larger volume of air and a longer operating period than most bicycle-tire applications, BSCOBBER also considered the practical implications of extended use.
The company says the testing included temperature measurements during the inflation process. The longer operating time also highlighted an important consideration: battery capacity can become a limiting factor when inflating a full-size SUP.
OmniPump-1 has a built-in battery and supports 12V DC input. For longer SUP inflation sessions, BSCOBBER recommends connecting the device to a vehicle's 12V DC power supply rather than relying entirely on the built-in battery.
This setup may be particularly useful for users transporting a paddleboard by car to a lake, beach or other outdoor destination.
A Multi-Purpose Inflator, Not a Dedicated SUP Pump
Although the tests demonstrate that OmniPump-1 can inflate a SUP, BSCOBBER does not recommend it primarily for this purpose.
The company explains that the inflation time is relatively long, which may make the experience less convenient than using a pump specifically designed for stand-up paddleboards.
OmniPump-1 is designed as a compact, multi-purpose inflator for applications including bicycle tires, motorcycle and car tires, sports equipment, camping gear and other compatible inflatable products. Its value lies in supporting different inflation needs with one portable device, rather than replacing every specialized pump.
The company says the SUP tests reflect its approach to product development: answering practical user questions through testing and communicating both capabilities and limitations.
“Sometimes we receive a question that cannot be answered properly by looking at a specification sheet alone,” said Jasmine, Founder of BSCOBBER. “We want to test these real-world situations and share what we learn, including where a product may be less suitable.”
BSCOBBER plans to continue sharing test results and product findings during its Kickstarter campaign, using feedback from backers to identify additional scenarios worth evaluating.
