CHENGDU, China – September 29, 2026 – BSCOBBER, a Chengdu-based outdoor equipment brand, has shared a series of real-world test results for its OmniPump-1 10-in-1 portable inflator, covering bicycle, motorcycle and car tire inflation as well as continuous operation and thermal protection. Before launching OmniPump-1 on Kickstarter, the BSCOBBER team conducted testing across different inflation scenarios to better understand how the compact inflator performs under practical conditions.
Rather than relying solely on maximum specifications, the company says it wanted to document actual test results and the conditions under which those results were obtained.
Real-World Inflation Tests
In one series of tests, OmniPump-1 was used to inflate different types of tires.
The recorded results included:
Road bike: 0 to 120 PSI in approximately 52 seconds
Motorcycle: 0 to 2.5 bar in approximately 1 minute
Car tire: 0 to 2.5 bar in approximately 3 minutes 54 seconds
BSCOBBER notes that actual inflation performance can vary depending on factors including tire size, starting pressure, temperature and other operating conditions.
The company therefore considers these figures to be test results from specific conditions rather than universal inflation times.
Continuous Operation and Thermal Testing
BSCOBBER also tested OmniPump-1 during extended operation to evaluate how the device behaves when used continuously.
During one test, the pump was used to continuously inflate a mattress for 15 minutes at an ambient temperature of approximately 26°C.
Following the test, the measured shell temperature was approximately 40°C, while the nozzle temperature reached approximately 92°C.
OmniPump-1 is designed with an integrated thermal protection system. According to BSCOBBER, if the internal temperature of the control board reaches 120°C, the pump is designed to automatically shut down to help protect its electronic components.
During the company's testing process, OmniPump-1 operated continuously for 20 minutes without triggering thermal protection shutdown.
For normal use, BSCOBBER recommends avoiding more than 20 minutes of continuous operation and allowing the device to cool when necessary.
Testing Beyond the Specification Sheet
For BSCOBBER, the purpose of the testing is not simply to demonstrate the highest performance number.
The company says real-world testing helps its team understand how OmniPump-1 behaves across different applications and identify the limitations that users should consider.
"Tires and inflatable products are not all the same, and starting pressure and environmental conditions can make a difference," said Jasmine, Founder of BSCOBBER. "We prefer to share the results we actually observe in testing rather than presenting a maximum specification as if it represents every real-world situation."
OmniPump-1 is designed as a compact, multi-purpose inflator for applications including road bikes, mountain bikes, electric bicycles, motorcycles, cars, sports equipment and camping-related inflatable products.
The device combines portable form factor with digital pressure control and multiple inflation accessories, allowing it to be used across different inflation scenarios.
BSCOBBER says it will continue sharing product tests and development findings throughout its Kickstarter campaign as the company gathers additional data from different use cases.
The company describes the goal of its testing process as straightforward: to build a compact and practical inflator while giving users a clearer understanding of what the product can realistically do.
