GENK, BELGIUM — September 2026 — A Belgian inventor has developed and internationally published a new mechanical device designed to generate series of numbers and other characters through a system of rotating segments. The invention is officially published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) under WO 2026/145874 A1, international application PCT/EP2025/068105.
The patented concept introduces a physical mechanism in which character-bearing segments can be rotated and positioned to create different combinations. The patent documentation describes applications involving games and lottery-related combinations, while also providing configurations that can be adapted to different sets of characters and game formats.
Unlike a purely software-based number generator, the invention is based on a physical mechanical device. The patent describes a construction involving multiple bodies and rotatable segments carrying characters, allowing combinations to be generated through the positioning of those segments.
The published patent also contains claims relating to configurations for lottery games, a lottery gaming set and methods involving the generation of character combinations.
The international patent publication was released on July 9, 2026, following a priority date of December 31, 2024.
The inventor is now seeking to make the technology known internationally and is open to discussions with companies, manufacturers, licensing partners and organizations interested in exploring potential applications of the invention.
