HONG KONG — June 17, 2026 — YunTong (https://yuntong.org), a budget-friendly VPN provider serving users in censorship-heavy regions, today announced full support for next-generation proxy protocols including AnyTLS, VLESS with XTLS Vision, and Hysteria2 (HY2). These protocols offer superior performance and censorship resistance compared to traditional VPN protocols like OpenVPN and WireGuard. As internet censorship continues to evolve globally, traditional VPN protocols face increasing challenges from Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) and protocol fingerprinting. YunTong's adoption of next-gen protocols addresses these challenges directly:
- AnyTLS: Designed to mimic standard HTTPS traffic, AnyTLS is extremely difficult to distinguish from normal web browsing. It works seamlessly through Cloudflare and similar CDNs, making it ideal for users in regions with heavy internet restrictions.
- VLESS + XTLS Vision: A lightweight proxy protocol that strips unnecessary overhead for near-zero protocol overhead and faster connection establishment. When paired with XTLS Vision, it intelligently handles TLS traffic without double-encryption.
- Hysteria2 (HY2): Built on QUIC, HY2 avoids TCP's head-of-line blocking and achieves 85-95% of native bandwidth on nearby servers. It's optimized for bandwidth-intensive applications like 4K streaming and large file transfers.
"We believe everyone deserves access to a free and open internet," said a YunTong spokesperson. "By supporting these cutting-edge protocols, we're providing our users with the tools they need to stay connected, regardless of where they live or what restrictions they face."
YunTong offers 20+ global nodes across Asia, Europe, and North America, with plans starting at approximately $1.70/year for the trial tier. The service supports all major platforms including Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, and Android through compatible clients like Clash Verge Rev, v2rayN, and Shadowrocket.
