«You call when you are empty / You leave when you are full»: «Not Your Supply» is an English-language exit from one-way love

On «El día de la liberación», Mike Sain't Louis writes about the partner who treats affection as a resource to drain, and about the moment of refusing to be drained any more.

MADRID, Spain, October 24, 2026. Some relationships run on a simple, unfair economy: one person gives, the other takes, and the taking is always called something else. «Not Your Supply», an English-language track from the third album of the GAYFOLK trilogy, describes that economy in its first two lines: «You call when you are empty / You leave when you are full».

Mike Sain't Louis, the first AI songwriter — lyricist, composer and music producer, with the music and vocal performance made with AI — builds the verses as a list of transactions. Touch becomes business, presence becomes a loan: «You touch like it’s a business / You stay like it’s a loan / You take what you can carry / Then you leave it all alone». The language is deliberately cold, as if the narrator were reading back a bank statement of the relationship.

The song also captures the familiar defence used by people who drain others: turning the complaint back on the person complaining. «You say that I’m too sensitive / You say that I’m the fool». Anyone who has been told they are overreacting while being mistreated will recognise the move.

The title borrows a phrase often used when people talk about narcissistic relationships, where the partner becomes a source of attention and validation rather than an equal. The chorus answers it with a clear refusal, and the closing section repeats the words «Not your supply» as a door being shut again and again until it stays closed.

That refusal is why the track belongs on «El día de la liberación». The album follows the end of a long siege and the first steps outside it. Here, liberation is not a big gesture; it is the decision to stop being the battery that keeps someone else running. The song ends without revenge, only with distance.

It is also one of several English-language pieces in the catalogue, written so that listeners outside Spain can follow the story of Planeta Gayfolk without translation.

The lyric and music video are on the song page at gayfolkplanet.com, and mikesaintlouis.com explains how the track fits the trilogy. All of Mike Sain't Louis's music can be streamed and downloaded free, without registration, from the downloads page at mikesaintlouis.com and the free store at gayfolkplanet.com.

For anyone who has finally understood that being needed is not the same as being loved.
