The Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 run from February 6 to February 22, 2026. The opening ceremony is February 6 and the closing ceremony February 22; competition begins February 4. The Paralympic Winter Games follow from March 6 to March 15, 2026. The event is spread across four zones in northern Italy: Milano, Valtellina, Cortina, and Val di Fiemme.Milano hosts ice hockey, speed skating, figure skating, and short track. Valtellina (Livigno, Stelvio) has freestyle skiing, snowboarding, ski mountaineering, and men’s Alpine skiing. Cortina (Tofane, Anterselva) has women’s Alpine skiing, curling, bobsleigh, skeleton, luge, and biathlon. Val di Fiemme (Predazzo, Tesero) has ski jumping and cross-country skiing. In total, 15 winter sports are on the program.
The full day-by-day competition schedule is published on the official Olympics.com Milano Cortina 2026 site and can be filtered by sport and date. NBC and Peacock hold U.S. media rights and will stream and broadcast events; international viewers can check their local Olympic rightsholders.
Milano and Cortina d’Ampezzo are the main host cities, with events also in the Dolomites and Valtellina. Travel and lodging in the region fill up around the Games; early booking is recommended. Climate and snow conditions are monitored; the IOC and organizers have contingency plans for weather-related changes.
Ticket sales, broadcast schedules, and any last-minute schedule changes will be announced on milanocortina2026.org and Olympics.com. The 2026 Games are the first Winter Olympics in Italy since Turin 2006 and the first to use the "Milano Cortina" dual-city name.
