Independent publisher Owl and Jest has released How to Deal With Your Disappointingly Small Penis, a parody self-help book created as a White Elephant gift for the 2026 holiday season. The 120-page paperback is available now on Amazon for $12.99.Finding a White Elephant gift that nobody has seen before is a challenge every holiday season, as many popular novelty gifts have been making the rounds at office and family parties for years. Because the book has only just been released, most guests will be unwrapping it for the first time.
The book is written as a straight-faced self-help guide and credited to a fictional author. It delivers shock value when it's unwrapped, but it is also a fully written humor book rather than a joke cover on blank pages, giving recipients something to read after the party.
"Everyone wants to bring the White Elephant gift that gets people talking, and that's getting harder to find," said Miranda Wright, spokesperson for Owl and Jest. "This one has the shock value, but more than that, it's fun. It's well written, it's genuinely funny, and because it's brand new, most people won't have seen it before."
The book is priced with gift exchange budgets in mind and can be ordered directly from Amazon, making it a simple choice for shoppers with a party coming up.
Owl and Jest sees the book as part of an established category of humor gift titles, including Crafting with Cat Hair, How to Talk to Your Cat About Gun Safety, and How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack, which have shown lasting demand for straight-faced books built around absurd premises.
The publisher expects most sales between November and Christmas, driven by White Elephant parties and office Secret Santa exchanges. It also anticipates demand around April Fools' Day and for bachelor parties and birthdays throughout the year.
"It's a fun gift, but not every workplace shares the same sense of humor," Wright added. "We'd suggest buyers think about the crowd before bringing it to the office party."
The book is a parody intended as humor and does not provide medical advice.
