SAN FRANCISCO, November 4, 2026 — SpeakLingo is sharing a short film and an illustrated walkthrough about Syping, a word the brand coined from “speaking” and “typing.” The idea is simple: say what you mean while the thought is fresh, then use the keyboard for the details a reader needs to get right. Both resources are free to view without an account.Consider a designer reviewing a checkout screen. She spots two buttons marked “Continue,” but only one saves the delivery address. While the screen is in front of her, she can say what went wrong in her own words. Then she can type the screen name, check the exact button label and add the steps to reproduce the problem. A developer who missed the review now has a bug report they can act on.
That handoff from speech to keys is what SpeakLingo calls Syping. It matters whenever the person who noticed something has to explain it to someone who wasn’t there. A field technician might speak an observation before leaving a job, then type the part number. A student might talk through an argument, then check the name and date a reader will need to follow it. In each case, the writer decides what to share.
The 10-second film pairs a speech bubble with a keyboard. On the SpeakLingo homepage, a staged, side-by-side walkthrough shows how a typed draft and a spoken draft begin. It illustrates the idea; the timers are not performance measurements.
