South Carolina Doctors of Optometry Elected to SECO International Board of Trustees

The South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association (SCOPA) announced that Dr. Lori Roberts-Hauser and Dr. Melissa Wood have been elected to leadership roles with SECO International, a nationally recognized organization advancing optometric education and patient care. Both past SCOPA presidents, the doctors were selected as part of SECO’s newly announced 2026 leadership team and are recognized for their commitment to clinical excellence, advocacy, and vision care across South Carolina.

The South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association (SCOPA) is proud to announce that two of its distinguished members have been elected to leadership roles with Southern Council of Optometric (SECO) International, a nationally recognized organization dedicated to advancing optometric education, clinical excellence, and patient care. Widely respected across the profession, SECO International plays a vital role in delivering continuing education and driving innovation within the field.

Dr. Lori Roberts-Hauser, a graduate of InterAmerican University, has been elected Secretary of the SECO International Board of Trustees. She is the owner of Aiken Eye Care Center, where she provides comprehensive optometric services with a focus on patient-centered care and community impact. Dr. Melissa Wood, a graduate of Southern College of Optometry has been elected to serve as a Trustee on the Board.
