October School Break Gives UAE Teenagers a Chance to Test Careers Before Choosing Them

DUBAI, UAE — September 2026 — For many UAE high school students, the October school break is becoming more than time off. It is an opportunity to step inside a career before making decisions about subjects, university courses and future study.

Intelligent Partners, a Dubai-based education consultancy with more than 25 years of experience, is connecting Grades 9–12 students with structured career exposure programmes during October.

Opportunities span medicine and healthcare, engineering, psychology, business and finance, AI and technology, law, design and other professional fields. Depending on the programme, experiences are available in Dubai, Abu Dhabi or virtually across the UAE.

“Students often tell us they want to study medicine, engineering, psychology or business, but their understanding of the actual profession can be very different from the reality,” says Sanjeev Verma, Director of Intelligent Partners. “Even a short, well-structured experience can give a teenager much better questions to ask before making bigger education decisions.”

The programmes focus on career understanding and practical industry exposure rather than simply adding another activity to a student’s record. Clinical and healthcare experiences are observational, while activities in other fields vary according to the professional environment and provider.

For parents searching for October internships for high school students in Dubai or the UAE, programme suitability depends on the student’s grade, age, interests and the individual provider’s requirements.
