Neon, moonlight and a party that never ends: Planeta Gayfolk speaks Portuguese in «Pura magia»

Mike Sain't Louis writes a summer dance track entirely in Portuguese, proof that his imaginary planet keeps adding new languages.

MADRID, Spain, October 24, 2026. Planeta Gayfolk is mostly written in Spanish, with a growing number of songs in English. «Pura magia» opens another door: the whole lyric is in Portuguese. It starts in the middle of a city at night, «Luzes brilham na cidade / A noite é só diversão» (Lights shine in the city / The night is only fun), and never leaves the dance floor.

The song is a simple invitation, and it knows it. «Deixe a batida te levar / Sinta a emoção» (Let the beat carry you / Feel the emotion), the first verse says. The chorus turns that invitation into a promise of togetherness: «Vem cá dançar comigo / Sentir essa energia / Vamos ser um só / Noite de pura magia» (Come here and dance with me / Feel this energy / Let us be one / A night of pure magic).

The imagery is pure summer pop: a sea of neon, a moon that guides the dancers, a smile that lights up the room «como um verão», like a summer. A shooting star appears with wishes on the tip of the tongue, and the verse ends with a line that could be the motto of the whole planet: «Nossa festa não termina» (Our party does not end).

Why Portuguese? The catalogue has always been open to the world. Its songs reach listeners in Latin America, Europe and beyond, and the author likes to greet them in their own language. «Pura magia» is a gift to Portuguese-speaking audiences in Brazil, Portugal and the many communities in between, and it sits naturally next to the Spanish and English tracks of the project.

It is also a reminder of what Planeta Gayfolk is for. Behind the comedy and the wounded ballads there is a very simple idea: a place where queer people can dance without having to explain themselves. «Pura magia» puts that idea into a few lines and a steady beat.

The lyric is published unedited on gayfolkplanet.com with the official video, and mikesaintlouis.com tells the story of the song in Spanish.

Musically, the track leans towards bright, warm dance pop, the kind of sound that fits a terrace at midnight or a beach bar in August. The words are simple enough for anyone to follow after one listen, even without speaking Portuguese, and the chorus is designed to be shouted back by a crowd.

All of the music can be heard and downloaded free of charge from the author's websites, with no registration. A party, after all, should not have an entrance fee.
