## Eastern Conference First Round
The East enters the 2026 playoffs looking like a genuine three-team race at the top, with a handful of dangerous lower seeds ready to cause chaos.
### (1) Boston Celtics vs. (8) Seed
The Celtics remain the benchmark in the East. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown enter the postseason healthy, and Boston's defensive depth — honed through back-to-back playoff runs — makes them the most complete team in the conference. Their first-round opponent will be overmatched.
