MSU ACCESS Student Allie Simmons’ Artwork Comes to Life in Exclusive Game-Day Fashion Collection

Alivia and L.A. Green Boutique partner on “Hail State Bandana,” a limited-edition collection celebrating art, inclusion and Mississippi State spirit

This Mississippi State football season, game-day fashion is telling a deeper story.

Mission-driven womenswear brand Alivia has partnered with Mississippi State University ACCESS student and artist Allie Simmons and Mississippi-based L.A. Green to launch Hail State Bandana, an exclusive maroon-and-white collection inspired by multiple original artworks created by Simmons.

The five-piece capsule includes two dresses, two tops and a scarf, all featuring the Hail State Bandana print. The collection will be available exclusively at L.A. Green’s four franchise locations beginning September 25, 2026, with an in-store launch celebration and meet-and-greet with Allie at L.A. Green’s Starkville location from 3–5 p.m.

The collaboration began years before the first garment was designed.

Allie’s mother first connected with Jovana, founder of Alivia, while searching for a dress for Allie to wear during sorority recruitment at Mississippi State, where Allie is now a member of Zeta Tau Alpha (ZTA). After following Allie on Instagram, Jovana was drawn to her joyful personality. When she learned that Allie also loved creating art, she saw the possibility for a future collaboration.

“From the moment I started following Allie, I was drawn to her smile and joyful spirit,” said Jovana, founder of Alivia. “When her mom told me how much Allie loved art, I knew immediately that I wanted to find a way to work together. Knowing that Allie was an MSU ACCESS student, and learning about Lauren Ann’s passion and heart for people with disabilities, I knew God had bigger plans for Alivia’s partnership with L.A. Green. It was the perfect match and timing.”

A year later, Jovana reached out to Lauren Ann Cooper, founder of L.A. Green, inviting her to see the Alivia collection at Dallas Market. A Mississippi State alumna with a longtime connection to the T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability, Lauren Ann connected with Alivia’s mission of transforming artwork by creators with disabilities into fashion. She brought Alivia into L.A. Green stores, and the relationship eventually led to the exclusive Mississippi State game-day collaboration.

“T.K. Martin and the children they serve stole my heart years ago, and it has since become my favorite service project through Junior Auxiliary,” said Lauren Ann. “There are many brands and companies that give back, but Alivia is truly special in the way they bring a hands-on opportunity to these incredible artists.”

Allie’s individual paintings were reimagined and combined to create Hail State Bandana, a bold maroon-and-white print designed with Mississippi State game days in mind.

“I met Jovana, the founder of Alivia, a few years ago on Zoom. I love Alivia and have their dresses! And I LOVE art — especially painting dots!” said Allie.

“I got to paint and create art at L.A. Green awhile back but had no idea my mom, Jovana and Lauren Ann had this up their sleeve! And now… some of MY artwork is becoming an Alivia design that you can actually WEAR to an MSU football game. I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!! And it’s happening during my senior year at Mississippi State! I get to watch it all happen! This is SO exciting and the best moment.”

Ten percent of sales from the Hail State Bandana collection will be donated to Mississippi State University’s T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability, helping support programs and services for individuals with disabilities.

The Center serves individuals with disabilities across the lifespan and operates programs including Express Yourself! Art, an art, recreational and vocational program providing people with disabilities opportunities for creative expression. T.K. Martin is close to both Allie and Lauren Ann’s hearts — Allie’s best friend, Marlie, works closely with the Center, while Lauren Ann has been involved with the organization since her college days.

Each Alivia garment also features a scannable QR code hidden inside, connecting the wearer to the artist behind the print and the impact of their purchase.

“We have been working with Alivia and Allie for months to get the styles perfect for our customers,” said Lauren Ann Cooper. “It’s unique yet classy — exclusively made for us! We wanted it perfect in every way, and cannot wait for everyone to see it!”
