Magma Player is a lightweight media player designed for Android, Android TV, TV Box and Fire TV. It is built for viewers who already have their own playlists and want a simple, fast way to play them on a television screen.Magma Player plays M3U and M3U8 playlists supplied by the user. Users can load their own playlist and browse and play the items in it, using an interface suited to a TV remote and a large screen. The focus is on straightforward playback, rather than a long list of complicated settings.
Magma Player is a player only. It does not supply channels, programmes or other content, and it does not provide playlists. Users remain responsible for the playlists they choose to load and for ensuring they have the right to use them. This clear distinction keeps the app simple: it plays what the user provides, and nothing else is bundled in.
The app is designed to be lightweight, so it can run smoothly on a wide range of Android TV devices, TV boxes and Fire TV devices, as well as on Android phones and tablets. It aims to start quickly, respond promptly to remote controls, and keep playback stable on the living-room screen.
"We built Magma Player for people who want a clean, lightweight player for their own M3U and M3U8 playlists on Android TV, TV Box and Fire TV, without unnecessary complexity," said a spokesperson for Magma Player.
