Material choice in large-format thermoforming follows the same application logic as smaller parts, scaled to a broad surface. ABS sheets are selected where a smooth paintable finish and good rigidity are needed for wide covers. PE sheets are preferred where impact resistance and chemical tolerance matter, such as broad logistics guards. PC sheets are used for sections that must stay transparent or withstand repeated impact. After forming, oversized panels can be cut to outline, reinforced along edges, drilled for mounting, or lined and bonded in sections according to the final assembly plan.
