TOKYO, Japan — September 28, 2026 — LALAMO Inc. today announced the official release of SpinCut DJ, a DJ app for iPhone, iPad and Mac designed to make DJing and scratching more accessible across Apple devices.SpinCut DJ brings together essential DJ controls including track selection, CUE, mixing and scratching with features that extend beyond a single device. Users can begin with touch controls, connect a supported DJ controller when they are ready, access music stored on their Mac from an iPhone or iPad, and connect their performance to the 3D virtual space SpinCut World in supported environments.
Core two-deck DJ and scratching features are available to start at no cost. The Mac version is available from the official SpinCut DJ website, while the iPhone and iPad version is available from the App Store.
DJ across iPhone, iPad and Mac
SpinCut DJ provides a two-deck interface for loading tracks, playback and CUE control, tempo adjustment, mixing and scratching. Users can monitor waveforms, BPM and playback position while working with features including SYNC, AUTO LOOP, KEY LOCK, EQ, FILTER, FX and performance pads.
Touch scratching on iPhone and iPad
Users can scratch directly on the iPhone or iPad display. A large-waveform view also helps DJs follow track structure and playback position during a performance.
USB support for the DDJ-FLX4
SpinCut DJ supports USB connection with the separately sold Pioneer DJ DDJ-FLX4. Jog wheels, playback and CUE controls, and mixer operations can be controlled from the hardware, allowing users to begin with touch controls and add a physical controller as their needs grow. A compatible USB connection and appropriate power supply are required.
Preparation and editing tools on Mac
The Mac version includes a mix analysis view that displays TEMPO, PHASE, LEVEL and KEY in one place. It also supports per-track waveform editing and Mix Sets for saving a preferred track order, helping users move from music preparation to performance in the same workflow.
Access music stored on a Mac from an iPhone or iPad
When signed in with the same SpinCut account, users can browse a compatible Mac library from an iPhone or iPad while away from the computer. Rather than copying an entire library to the mobile device in advance, SpinCut DJ transfers the audio for a selected track when the user loads it. This feature requires a compatible Mac version, the same account on both devices, the Mac to remain powered on and awake with library sharing enabled, and internet connectivity.
Bring a DJ performance into SpinCut World
SpinCut World is a browser-based 3D virtual space where visitors can explore environments such as the Main Gallery and Personal Rooms while discovering music, artists and DJ culture. In supported environments, a DJ can manually start publishing SpinCut DJ's MASTER audio to the DJ's own public Personal Room. People joining through a browser can then listen to the performance, connecting a real-world DJ session with a shared virtual experience. Audio is never published merely by opening SpinCut DJ.
Designed as an accessible starting point for DJing
SpinCut DJ is designed so users can first experience DJing and scratching on an iPhone, iPad or Mac, then add a DDJ-FLX4 controller if they want more hands-on control. The goal is to give aspiring and casual DJs a practical path from their first mix to broader music sharing across devices and virtual spaces.
