Kidora rolls out major app update as UK family platform continues to grow

Kidora has released a major iOS and Android update with smoother buying and selling, new onboarding and clearer navigation for UK families.

Broughton, North Wales, UK - Kidora has released a major update to its iOS and Android apps as the self-funded UK family platform continues developing beyond its original baby and children's marketplace.

The latest release introduces a new onboarding journey for members, refreshed designs across key screens, smoother buying and selling flows, improvements to bundles, clearer checkout and delivery information, and further performance and bug fixes.

Kidora was founded by North Wales mum of two Karolina Gudes and is being built by a three-person team alongside full-time jobs and family responsibilities.

The platform originally launched in 2025 as a dedicated parent-to-parent marketplace for baby and children's items.

Rather than expanding into a general marketplace, Kidora has remained focused specifically on families. Parents can buy and sell new and preloved children's clothes, toys, books, prams, nursery equipment and other family essentials through local collection or nationwide delivery.

Sellers are not charged commission by Kidora. Buyers using eligible Buy Now purchases pay a Kidora Fee, with Buyer Protection included as part of that fee.

Marketplace features also include offers and bundles, allowing buyers to purchase several items from the same seller.

Kidora has since developed into a wider family platform built around three connected areas.

Kidora Parent Hub provides practical information for UK parents across subjects including pregnancy, babies, children, childcare, education, health, safety, family support and activities.

Kidora Family Places contains more than 6,500 family-friendly locations across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, including parks, beaches, museums, castles, soft play centres, zoos, swimming pools, gardens and other places to visit with children.

Karolina Gudes, founder of Kidora, said:

"We have changed a huge amount since the first version of Kidora launched.

"This latest update is about making the experience easier from the moment somebody joins, whether they want to buy something, sell items their children have outgrown, find practical information or discover somewhere to go with their family.

"We are still a very small team, so every improvement has to earn its place. Our aim is to keep making Kidora simpler and more useful for parents."

The business has been completely self-funded, with approximately £7,000 invested so far and no external investment.

Kidora is being developed by Karolina, her partner Martin Kvasnica and their friend John Prydderch.

More than 1,000 baby and children's items have been listed through the marketplace, while Family Places has grown to more than 6,500 locations.

Kidora has also received coverage from regional media and nationally from The Sun on Sunday.

Despite its expansion, the team says Kidora will continue to focus on parents, babies and children rather than moving into general marketplace categories.

Kidora is available through its website and native iOS and Android apps, with English and Polish supported.
