Building Bangladesh’s Own Freelancing Marketplace: The Story Behind KajKhuji

KajKhuji is building a Bangladesh-focused freelancing marketplace, connecting local talent and businesses through a platform designed for the country’s digital workforce.

KajKhuji, a Bangladesh-focused freelancing marketplace, is working to make it easier for local freelancers and businesses to connect, collaborate, and build opportunities within the country’s growing digital economy.

The platform was created around a simple observation: Bangladesh has a large pool of talented freelancers and digital professionals, while businesses increasingly need skilled people for technology, design, marketing, writing, and other digital services. Yet, much of the existing freelancing ecosystem is built around international platforms rather than the specific needs of Bangladesh.

KajKhuji aims to bridge that gap by providing a marketplace designed for Bangladeshi freelancers and clients. Freelancers can showcase their skills, find gigs and projects, and build their careers, while businesses can discover and hire local talent through a dedicated platform.

Since its launch, KajKhuji has grown to more than 150 registered freelancers and over 30 employers and clients on the platform, with dozens of users actively engaging with the marketplace. The startup has been developing its platform with a focus on local payments, user trust, marketplace tools, and a simpler experience for both sides of the market.

“Bangladesh has no shortage of talented people who can work and build careers online. What we wanted to build was a platform that understands their local reality,” said Muntasir Mubin, Founder and CEO of KajKhuji. “KajKhuji is still at an early stage, but our goal is to create a trusted marketplace where Bangladeshi talent and businesses can find each other and grow together.”

The startup is also working on expanding its marketplace infrastructure, including improved payment capabilities, freelancer and employer tools, trust and safety features, and technology designed to support the growing needs of the local digital workforce.

For Mubin, the project is also a personal entrepreneurial journey. As a developer, he started KajKhuji with the belief that local digital talent should have more opportunities to work with businesses in their own market without having to depend entirely on international platforms.
