Jennifer Ann's Group to Host 20th Annual Fundraiser October 10 - Honoring El Paso DA James Montoya

Jennifer Ann's Group, a teen dating violence prevention nonprofit charity, to be honored by APHA (American Public Health Association) on Nov 3rd for Institutional Public Service. The nonprofit is also holding its 20th Annual Fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 10th.

Jennifer Ann's Group®, a nonprofit dedicated to eliminating teen and youth domestic violence through emerging media including interactive video games, podcasts and direct outreach will hold its 20th Annual Fundraiser on Saturday, Oct. 10, from 6:30 to 11 pm.

This year's event will honor El Paso District Attorney James Montoya. The evening includes dinner, live music, dancing, a photo booth, and a silent auction, along with a raffle featuring a Dooney & Bourke Sorrento Barlow crossbody bag and two round-trip Southwest Airlines tickets.

Tickets are $60 per person or $600 for a reserved table of eight and must be purchased in advance. Sponsorship opportunities are available by contacting Dr. Elizabeth Richeson, Chairperson of the Advisory Board, at 915-726-4222.

Recognized for Institutional Public Service by APHA
The fundraiser follows national recognition for the organization's work: Jennifer Ann's Group has been selected to receive the Institutional Public Service Award from the American Public Health Association's Injury Control and Emergency Health Services Section, honoring organizations whose leadership in injury and violence prevention has had a lasting impact on the field. The award will be presented Nov. 3 at the APHA 2026 Annual Meeting in San Antonio.

"National recognition is wonderful, but what matters most is what happens in living rooms and classrooms because of that work," said Dr. Elizabeth Richeson. "Every dollar raised on Oct. 10 goes directly toward keeping these resources in the hands of the young people who need them."

Proceeds from the Oct. 10 event support Jennifer Ann's Group's continued work creating free tools including its Gaming Against Violence® initiative that teach young people about healthy relationships, consent, and bystander intervention.

When: Saturday, October 10, 6:30 pm.
Where: St. Luke Catholic Church Hall, 930 E. Redd Rd.
Cost: $60 per person or $600 for a reserved table of eight
