SOMERVILLE, N.J., September 25, 2026: eMedEd, in partnership with eMedEvents, will host the Innovations in Stroke and Cardiac Care Conference (ISCC 2026) on September 26–27, 2026, at the Renaissance Orlando Resort and Spa - Disney Springs in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The hybrid conference, offering both in-person and virtual attendance, is co-chaired by Dr. David Z. Rose of the USF Health/Tampa General Hospital and Dr. Bibhu D. Mohanty of the USF Health/Tampa General Hospital, and will bring together neurologists, cardiologists, and multidisciplinary care teams to examine the clinical overlap between stroke and cardiac disease.Florida has one of the largest and fastest-growing populations of adults aged 65 and older of any state in the country, which is the patient group most affected by the overlap between stroke and cardiac disease. For clinicians attending ISCC 2026, that combination means learning in a setting where the conference's subject matter is a daily clinical reality.
Over two days, the conference will cover cross-specialty topics including atrial fibrillation and stroke risk, secondary stroke prevention, structural heart disease, and heart-brain interactions. Case-based sessions, a hands-on device workshop, and peer networking will provide practical experience with the devices and cases discussed. The conference has been approved for 10 CME/MOC/CE Credits.
"Patients with cardiovascular disease carry a meaningfully higher risk of stroke, yet most training pathways still treat neurology and cardiology as separate tracks," said Dr. David Z. Rose, Co-Chair of ISCC 2026 and Professor of Vascular Neurology at USF Health/Tampa General Hospital. “Our goal is to bring interventional cardiologists and vascular neurologists together around a shared framework for managing complex cases,” added Dr. Bibhu D. Mohanty, Co-Chair of ISCC 2026 and Associate Professor of Structural Heart Intervention at USF Health/Tampa General Hospital.
