Homade releases a free calculator for salon staff utilization

Homade published a browser-based calculator that compares completed service hours with available staff hours and calculates revenue per service hour. It includes a CSV export and requires no registration.

KHIMKI, Russia, October 4, 2026 — Homade has published a free calculator for salon and barbershop managers who want to compare completed service time with the hours available to their team. The separate browser tool uses aggregate figures for one reporting period and does not require a product account.

The calculator uses person-hours rather than the number of hours a salon is open. If two masters each work an eight-hour shift, their combined scheduled time is sixteen person-hours. If two masters take part in the same service, the time of each master is counted separately. This distinction helps managers define a consistent denominator before comparing utilization across periods or branches.

Users enter scheduled staff hours, unavailable time, completed service hours and service revenue. They can also enter spending on materials, payments to masters and other expenses for the same period. The results show available person-hours, utilization of that available time, utilization relative to all scheduled hours, average revenue per completed service hour and the amount left after the expenses entered by the user.

An explicitly fictional example demonstrates the arithmetic. From 160 scheduled person-hours, 20 unavailable hours are deducted, leaving 140 available hours. Completing 105 service hours represents 75 percent of available capacity and about 65.63 percent of scheduled hours. Revenue of 210,000 rubles averages 2,000 rubles per completed service hour. Entered expenses total 160,000 rubles, leaving a calculated result of 50,000 rubles. These figures illustrate the tool and are not customer results.

The tool rejects service hours that exceed available capacity and unavailable hours that exceed scheduled time. It accepts a decimal comma or decimal point with up to two decimal places. When no capacity is available, it does not present a utilization percentage. When no service hours have been completed, it does not calculate revenue per service hour. Managers can download the completed calculation as a UTF-8 CSV file.

Homade states the limits alongside the inputs and results. The amount remaining after entered expenses is not a complete company profit figure when taxes, commissions, depreciation or other costs have been omitted. Aggregate totals do not detect overlapping appointments or validate an individual master's schedule. Those checks require appointment-level data and separate scheduling rules.

The calculator processes inputs in the browser and does not synchronize with the working Homade CRM. It asks for aggregate hours and financial totals, not client personal details. The interface and monetary amounts are in Russian and rubles. A separate downloadable spreadsheet is also available on the Homade resource page.

Homade provides CRM and ERP software for salons, barbershops and multi-location beauty businesses, covering appointments, clients, finance, inventory and staff management. Its product trial is fourteen days. The standalone calculator is freely accessible independently of that trial.
