ABIDJAN, CÔTE D’IVOIRE — Ivorian artist, beatmaker, Christian musician and producer Gonemili Grace presents “Sur terre,” an EP released on February 4, 2025.The six-track project develops a Christian musical universe in which contemplation of God’s creation, grace, prayer and hope meet expansive electronic production.
“Sur terre” includes six tracks:
1. Sur terre
2. Gonemili Grace
3. Timpo
4. Manifesté
5. Sa ira
6. Prière
A PROJECT BUILT AROUND CREATION AND FAITH
The title track provides one of the clearest keys to understanding the project. Its lyrics invite listeners to look at the works of the Lord on Earth. Through repetition and extended musical development, contemplation becomes a way of recognizing divine action.
The project then moves through personal identity, grace, salvation and hope before concluding with “Prière,” bringing the EP from contemplation of the world toward a personal relationship with God.
CHRISTIAN MUSIC MEETS ELECTRONIC PRODUCTION
“Sur terre” also highlights Gonemili Grace’s identity as a beatmaker and producer. The project brings Christian expression together with electronic production and extended musical formats.
The EP offers another perspective on contemporary Christian music from Côte d’Ivoire, showing how a spiritual message can coexist with electronic textures and independent music production.
