ABIDJAN, CÔTE D’IVOIRE — Ivorian artist, beatmaker and producer Gonemili Grace presents “Soleil,” a seven-track album released on February 17, 2025.The project develops more than 81 minutes of music through extended tracks and an electronic production approach. “Soleil” is classified as house on Apple Music and electronic on Audiomack.
The album includes seven tracks:
1. Soleil
2. Enlèvement
3. Ennemis
4. Bien
5. Soutien
6. Boulo
7. Chante
FROM LIGHT TO ARTISTIC EXPRESSION
The title track introduces light as one of the central images of the album. From there, the sequence moves through titles associated with obstacles, positivity, support, work and artistic expression.
“Soleil” opens the journey with an image of inner light. “Enlèvement” and “Ennemis” introduce ideas of separation and opposition, while “Bien” provides a more positive turning point.
“Soutien” places help and accompaniment at the centre of the next stage. “Boulo” introduces the idea of work and effort before “Chante” concludes the album with an action directly connected to music and artistic expression.
HOUSE AND ELECTRONIC MUSIC IN EXTENDED FORMATS
The album is distinguished by its seven extended tracks and a total duration of more than 81 minutes. Rather than relying on numerous short songs, Gonemili Grace gives greater space to repetition, musical motifs and the development of electronic atmospheres.
The project highlights another dimension of Gonemili Grace’s independent catalogue and her work as an artist, beatmaker and producer based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire.
