ABIDJAN, CÔTE D’IVOIRE — Ivorian artist, beatmaker and producer Gonemili Grace presents “Instrumental by Gonemili Grace,” an instrumental album released in 2025 under GM-MELODIE.The project places composition, beatmaking and instrumental production at the centre of Gonemili Grace’s work. Unlike projects primarily built around vocals and Christian messages, “Instrumental by Gonemili Grace” gives greater space to textures, rhythms and atmospheres.
ELECTRONIC AND URBAN INFLUENCES
The project draws on several electronic and urban influences, including EDM, hip-hop, house, synthwave and techno.
This combination reveals another dimension of Gonemili Grace’s creative identity and highlights her work not only as an artist, but also as a beatmaker and producer.
MUSIC CREATED WITH VISUAL MEDIA IN MIND
According to Gonemili Grace’s artistic intention, the instrumental compositions were also conceived with the possibility of accompanying visual universes, particularly cinema and video games.
The music can function without lyrics, support an atmosphere, accompany a scene or contribute to the sonic identity of a visual universe.
This creative direction does not mean that tracks from the album have already been placed in a film or video game. It represents the artistic orientation of the project.
AN INDEPENDENT IVORIAN BEATMAKER AND PRODUCER
Based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, Gonemili Grace develops an independent catalogue combining Christian music, electronic creation and instrumental production.
“Instrumental by Gonemili Grace” occupies a distinctive place within this catalogue by putting music production itself at the forefront.
The project provides media, audiovisual professionals and listeners with an introduction to the instrumental and production side of Gonemili Grace’s work.
