MOSCOW — City Medical Centre, a multi-specialty surgery clinic that accepts patients from other countries, has gathered its information for German patients on a single country page covering 15 cities, from Berlin, Hamburg and Munich to Leipzig, Dresden and Nuremberg. Every city has its own hair transplant page, and each of those is also available in German.The pages set out three methods with a price per method rather than per graft; the prices below are the promotional ones the pages list until the end of September. Classic FUE, where grafts are taken one by one without incisions or stitches, is listed at $2,200. DHI, in which each graft is placed with a Choi implanter pen without pre-made channels, costs $2,500. A combined protocol, with FUE extraction and DHI implantation, is $2,700. The cost can also be spread over six months in 0% instalments, from $367 a month for FUE.
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia within one day, and the patient goes home the same day. The graft count is assessed free of charge at the first consultation, which patients in Germany can start online by sending photographs of the thinning area. The price named at that consultation is fixed in the contract, and the pages state that surgery day adds no new line to the bill.
Follow-up is part of the price: dressings, a care plan for the donor and recipient areas, a personal coordinator and progress check-ups at 1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 months. The pages describe the expected sequence plainly, including the shedding of transplanted hairs at two to four weeks, a normal stage, with growth from months three to four and the final picture at 12 to 18 months.
For patients in Berlin, the city page gives coordinator hours as 09:00–17:00 Berlin time, every day.
Suitability for surgery is decided at a consultation; every procedure has contraindications.
