Vet and Tech to Host Free Webinar on Pet Travel Readiness for Veterinary Teams

A free, RACE-approved webinar on November 11, 2026, will help veterinary teams understand pet air travel requirements, prepare accurate travel documentation, and improve pet travel readiness with guidance from airline industry veterinarian Dr. Nelva Bryant, DVM, MPH.

Vet and Tech will host a free, RACE-approved webinar on November 11, 2026, to help veterinary teams prepare pets for safer, smoother travel. Led by airline industry veterinarian Dr. Nelva Bryant, DVM, MPH, the session will cover pet travel requirements, health documentation, and practical steps clinics can take to help clients avoid common travel problems. Attendees can earn one CE credit.

A health certificate is an important part of pet travel, but it does not guarantee that an animal meets every requirement for its journey. Airline policies, destination regulations, documentation deadlines, and other travel conditions can create challenges for pet owners and veterinary practices.

To help veterinary professionals navigate these challenges, Vet and Tech is offering “Health Certificates Are Not Enough: What Veterinary Teams Need to Know About Pet Travel Readiness.” The webinar will take place on November 11, 2026, at 8:00 PM Eastern Time and is free to attend.

“Pet travel readiness involves more than obtaining a health certificate. Veterinary teams must understand airline policies, destination-specific regulations, documentation requirements, and travel timelines to help clients prepare their pets for domestic and international journeys.”

The session will explore how veterinary teams can assess travel readiness, organize required documentation, and communicate travel requirements more clearly to clients. It will also address common issues associated with domestic and international pet travel, helping practices develop a more organized approach to travel-related consultations.

Dr. Nelva Bryant, DVM, MPH, will lead the webinar. As an airline industry veterinarian with experience in animal transportation and quarantine, Dr. Bryant brings a specialized perspective to the challenges involved in preparing animals for travel. She previously presented a Vet and Tech session titled “Pet Travel Regulations: Yes, It’s Regulated.”

The webinar is designed for veterinarians, credentialed veterinary technicians, practice managers, and other veterinary team members who assist clients with pet travel questions and documentation.

Participants will gain practical insights into why health certificates alone may not be sufficient, how airline and destination requirements affect travel planning, and how to help clients prepare the necessary paperwork before departure. The session will also discuss ways to improve communication and reduce avoidable delays, documentation issues, and travel disruptions.

The webinar falls under the Internal Medicine category and offers one RACE-approved CE credit at no cost. Veterinary professionals can learn more and register for the free webinar through the Vet and Tech webinar page.
