Free Mobility Launches Fundraising Campaign to Help Respond to 10,000 Wheelchair Assistance Requests

DOVER, Delaware — October 8, 2026 — Free Mobility, a U.S.-based nonprofit organization, is seeking public support to help respond to approximately 10,000 requests for wheelchair assistance through its fundraising campaign, Help Us Deliver 10,000 Wheelchairs.

Free Mobility works to make essential mobility equipment accessible to people who cannot afford or otherwise access it, helping them move with greater independence and dignity.

The organization has received substantial demand for wheelchair assistance, but securing the financial resources needed to provide equipment remains a significant challenge. The campaign aims to connect individuals, businesses, community organizations and potential partners with an opportunity to support greater access to mobility equipment.

“Mobility should not be a luxury.” That principle guides Free Mobility’s work and its effort to help more people access the equipment they need for everyday mobility and independence.

Supporters can contribute through the organization’s donation page or help by sharing the campaign with their networks. Free Mobility also welcomes inquiries from potential corporate partners, community organizations, disability advocates and others interested in supporting its mission.

The campaign’s goal reflects the demand for assistance received by the organization; it does not mean that 10,000 wheelchairs have already been funded or are ready for delivery.
