FragCut Launches AI Gaming Clip Maker for Twitch VODs

FragCut helps streamers turn Twitch VODs and gameplay uploads into vertical clips for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts with AI highlight detection and captions.

FragCut.io today announced the launch of FragCut, an AI gaming clip maker built for streamers and gaming creators who want to turn long gameplay videos into short-form social content without spending hours in editing software.

FragCut works with Twitch VODs and uploaded gameplay videos. Creators can paste a Twitch URL or upload a video file, then the platform analyzes the footage to identify moments such as kills, aces, clutch plays, funny reactions, and other highlights. The tool then generates ready-to-post clips in a vertical 9:16 format for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

Short-form video has become one of the main ways gaming creators reach new viewers, but clipping streams is still a manual process for many small teams and solo streamers. A creator may need to review several hours of footage, mark timestamps, cut clips, resize them for vertical platforms, add captions, and export each version separately. FragCut is designed to compress that workflow into a browser-based process that can produce multiple shareable clips from a single VOD.

"Gaming creators should be able to focus on playing, streaming, and building their community," said Jacob Yang, founder of FragCut. "FragCut was built to remove the repetitive editing work after a stream. The goal is simple: upload a VOD, let AI find the moments worth sharing, and publish clips while the stream is still fresh."

The product includes AI highlight detection, Twitch VOD import, automatic subtitle generation, 9:16 vertical export, and a built-in editor for fine-tuning clip start and end points. Finished clips are downloadable as MP4 files in a vertical 1080x1920 format, with burned-in subtitles available for creators who want content that works well on mobile feeds.

FragCut is cloud-based and does not require a desktop installation. The service can be used from modern browsers on Windows, macOS, and Linux. Processing time depends on the length and size of the source video, with the platform designed to return clips in approximately 15 to 30 minutes for typical submissions.

The service supports a wide range of games and is especially suited for creators working with FPS, MOBA, and competitive gameplay content where highlight moments are frequent and time-sensitive. FragCut's public feature set includes support for AI highlight detection, automatic captions, Twitch URL import, browser-based editing, and gaming montage creation.

FragCut is available at https://fragcut.io. The Creator plan starts at $19.99 per month and includes 30 clips per month. The Pro plan is priced at $49.99 per month and includes unlimited clips, along with the same core AI clipping and editing workflow.

The platform also states that creators retain ownership of their content. Source videos are automatically deleted after 30 days, generated clips are stored for 90 days, and customer videos are not used to train AI models.
