SHEFFIELD, 16 October 2026 — Sheffield's manufacturers, fabricators and engineering firms can now get office IT problems fixed remotely for a fixed £39.99, as Glasgow-based Riverbank IT Systems brings its no-contract repair service to South Yorkshire.
The city's advanced-manufacturing economy means thousands of businesses where the real work happens on a shop floor — but the quotes, drawings, orders and payroll still run through a handful of office PCs. When the admin machine dies, the workshop carries on while the paperwork, and the cashflow, pile up behind it.
Riverbank's fixed-price repair service is built for businesses that do not need an IT contract but cannot afford dead computers. For £39.99 plus VAT, an engineer connects remotely and works on the fault for up to 20 minutes — covering the problems that stop office work most often: email and Microsoft 365 failures, printer and network issues, slow or infected PCs, account lockouts and machines that will not start. Jobs needing longer, parts or a visit are quoted in writing before work continues.
"Engineering firms are used to fixed quotes for jobs — that is exactly how we price IT repair," said Timothy A., founder of Riverbank IT Systems. "£39.99 for the first 20 minutes, a written price if it needs more, and no contract. The office manager in a Sheffield workshop should not have to gamble on an hourly rate to get email back."
The service is available 24/7 — relevant to firms running shifts — with urgent faults triaged within minutes of a call. Because repairs are remote, industrial-estate premises get the same response as a city-centre office.
Riverbank IT Systems serves Sheffield, Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster and the rest of South Yorkshire remotely from its Glasgow base.
