SINGAPORE, October 2026 — Eureka Wellness is sharing its holistic approach to healthy weight loss for women in Singapore. The approach combines practical eating habits with ongoing coaching support. The overall aim is to help women build routines that they can keep up long after the first few weeks. Why Daily Routines Are Important for Women Managing Their Weight
Many women in Singapore start their day early and end it late. Between the many responsibilities in terms of career, family, and personal life, there is often little room left for a fixed workout schedule. Eating out at hawker centres and food courts is also a normal part of the week for many households.
These realities can make consistency hard. A plan may go well for a few weeks, but once you get busy or when family needs take priority, everything may fall apart and you’re back to zero again.
Eureka Wellness built its approach with this in mind. Healthy weight loss for women often depends less on finding a perfect plan and more on finding one that just works. So instead of asking women to change everything at once, the approach works within the schedule they already have. Small changes come one at a time, and coaching helps adjust the plan whenever routines change.
How Eureka Wellness Approaches Holistic Weight Management
The approach covers three connected areas, each one supporting the others.
Structured nutrition habits. Clients work with their coach on portion awareness, balanced plates, and meal planning. This includes practical tips for ordering at hawker centres and restaurants, so a meal out does not undo a week of effort. A clear eating structure can make daily food decisions simpler to follow.
Sleep and stress habits. A hectic week can affect food choices and energy levels. Clients are encouraged to keep regular sleep times and find simple ways to manage stress, as these habits may make the other changes easier to maintain.
Coaching and accountability. Regular check-ins let clients review their progress, talk through what feels difficult, and adjust their targets. This continuing support may help women stay consistent with their weight loss (management) goals over the long term. More details are available on the Eureka Wellness programme page.
A Word from the Founder
“Most of the women we work with already have a good idea of what they want to change. The hard part is making it work in an actual week, with work meetings, family commitments and very little spare time,” said Linda Choong, Founder of Eureka Wellness. “Our view of healthy weight management is built around that. We start small, build on what is already working, and keep supporting our clients as their routines change.”
Walking as an Easy Way to Add Daily Movement
Outside of any structured programme, walking remains one of the simplest ways for adults to move more. It has also drawn wider public attention this year. In March, Hong Kong’s Department of Health launched its Action Plan on Weight Management and a “10,000 Steps a Day” walking challenge. The challenge ran for one month each year from 2022 to 2024 and is now a free, year-round programme.
Singapore has its own version of this push. The Health Promotion Board’s National Steps Challenge has encouraged residents to track their daily steps for years, while the Singapore Physical Activity Guidelines recommend 150 to 300 minutes of moderate-intensity activity each week for adults.
Still, 10,000 steps can feel far off for someone who walks 3,000 a day. A 2025 review of 57 studies in The Lancet Public Health offers a more flexible take on recommended daily steps. It found that around 7,000 steps a day was linked to meaningful health benefits in adults, and the researchers noted this might be a more realistic target for some people.
For women who want to try it, a walking routine doesn’t have to be grand or intensive. You can start small. A 10-minute walk after lunch or getting off the MRT one stop early is beneficial and adds to your daily step count. Then, you can increase your step count gradually so that it is easier to maintain. If you are pregnant, recovering from an injury, or managing a health condition, it’s best to check with your doctor if it is safe to increase your activity levels.
An insightful read about walking may help you understand how it helps with weight management. Eureka Wellness has published a guide on how long to walk to burn common foods, so you might want to check it out.
