EarthLive.TV Launches Free 24/7 Yellowstone Live Stream with Real-Time Eruption Data

Live overlay tracks Old Faithful eruptions, seismic activity, and weather using 24/7 public API data.

EarthLive.TV has launched a free, 24/7 live stream of Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park featuring a real-time data overlay that predicts the next eruption, tracks seismic activity, and displays live weather conditions from the park.

The stream uses the National Park Service's public domain webcam feed from Old Faithful's Upper Geyser Basin, enhanced with live data pulled from GeyserTimes.org, the USGS Earthquake Hazards Program, and Open-Meteo. A rotating library of verified Yellowstone facts runs alongside the data, turning a standard webcam feed into an educational experience.

Within days of launch, the stream reached over 130 concurrent viewers on YouTube and ranked above established competitors in search results for "Yellowstone" - including channels with hundreds of thousands of subscribers.

"Most Yellowstone live streams are just a bare camera feed," said Charles Leahy, founder of EarthLive.TV. "We wanted to build something you'd actually learn from while watching. The eruption countdown alone keeps people watching - everyone wants to see it blow."

The stream is available 24/7 at no cost on YouTube and via EarthLive.TV, which hosts over 500+ live cameras from 88 countries to date.

Educational use is encouraged, and the stream is already being used in geography classrooms.
