Computer Technologies Program (CTP), a California 501(c)3 nonprofit with more than 50 years of experience serving individuals with disabilities, is seeking donations of surplus business technology equipment from companies upgrading, relocating, downsizing, or refreshing their IT infrastructure.CTP accepts business-grade technology equipment, including laptops, desktop computers, monitors, servers, networking equipment, and other professional IT hardware. Our 3rd-party provider handles professional, secure data eradication if necessary. Through resale, refurbishment, and upcycling, donated equipment generates critical funding to support technology training, employment preparation, work experience opportunities, and career development services for people with disabilities.
For thousands of individuals, CTP has provided a pathway to greater independence, technical skills development, and meaningful employment. The organization's programs help participants build the knowledge and confidence needed to pursue careers in information technology, customer service, and other in-demand industries.
"When Poppy Bank made the transition to a new phone system, it was important to us that our previous equipment could be repurposed and put to good use. We were thrilled to donate the phones to Computer Technologies Program. Students in the program will refurbish the equipment, learning valuable skills that will prepare them for a successful career in the information technologies sector. We are honored to partner with Computer Technologies Program in such a practical and meaningful way to make a positive impact in our community." said Khalid Acheckzai, President & CEO of Poppy Bank.
As organizations continue to modernize their technology infrastructure, many are left with equipment that still retains significant value. Donating these assets to CTP provides a meaningful way for businesses to support their communities while promoting responsible technology reuse and sustainability.
CTP is primarily seeking professionally managed business equipment turnover projects rather than individual consumer donations.
Organizations interested in donating surplus technology equipment or learning more about partnership opportunities are encouraged to contact Computer Technologies Program via email info@ctpberk.org.
