SHENZHEN, China — October 9, 2026 — CURORI has published an explanation of why a preliminary medical-aesthetic or cosmetic-treatment quotation may change after a qualified doctor reviews an international user's information or completes an in-person assessment. An early estimate is often based on limited information. The provider may not yet have examined the treatment area, reviewed complete health history, confirmed the technique or determined which materials, facility resources, anaesthesia or follow-up schedule are appropriate. Any unresolved assumption can affect the later figure.
CURORI recommends asking the prospective provider to label an early quotation clearly as indicative, provisional or final. Users should also request a list of the assumptions behind it, including the proposed procedure, treatment area, expected number of sessions, material or device where relevant and whether an in-person assessment is still required.
“A changed quotation is easier to understand when the reason for the change is recorded,” said Jiani Peng, founder of CURORI. “The user should be able to see whether the doctor revised the clinical scope, added a necessary item or corrected an earlier assumption.”
A later assessment may lead the doctor to recommend a different technique, expand or reduce the treatment area, request tests, alter anaesthesia arrangements or advise against the original plan. A responsible revision can therefore increase, decrease or remove the proposed cost rather than simply adding fees.
Timing can also affect an estimate. Provider schedules, facility availability, treatment sequence and the number of review visits may be different from the assumptions used in an initial message. International users should confirm the validity period of a quotation and whether any listed price depends on a particular date or service combination.
CURORI may help organize versions of quotations and questions for comparison. It does not approve clinical changes or decide whether a revised treatment is appropriate. Users should direct medical questions to the responsible doctor and ask the licensed institution to confirm the final scope and price.
A useful revision record can show the date, responsible provider, original assumption, changed item, reason supplied and resulting price difference. This makes it easier to distinguish a medically justified revision from an unexplained charge and allows the user to compare alternatives on the same basis.
CURORI has a forward-looking objective to help reduce overall client cost by approximately 10% by the end of 2026. That objective does not freeze preliminary quotations or guarantee a reduction for every person. Final pricing remains dependent on provider assessment and confirmed services.
Founded in 2025, CURORI is a China Hospital Alliance and Doctor Network supporting international users who research and compare medical-aesthetic options in China.
CURORI is not a treating medical provider. Qualified doctors and licensed institutions remain responsible for assessment, risk disclosure, treatment planning, final quotations and follow-up.
