SHENZHEN, China — October 8, 2026 — CURORI has published a responsibility guide clarifying that final medical decisions in a coordinated case belong to the qualified doctor and licensed treating institution, not to CURORI.CURORI supports international users who are researching medical-aesthetic and cosmetic-treatment options in China. Depending on the enquiry, it may organize provider information, facilitate an initial exchange, arrange interpretation, request consultations or appointments and coordinate practical local arrangements. These functions do not transfer clinical responsibility away from the treating provider.
The responsible doctor and institution must assess the person's health information, determine whether an in-person examination or test is required, explain material risks and alternatives, confirm the proposed procedure and establish the treatment and follow-up plan. They also remain responsible for the final clinical quotation after the relevant assessment.
An early information exchange may help identify possible options, but it does not mean that a person has been accepted for treatment. Preliminary procedure names, timing estimates or quotations may change when the doctor reviews medical history, anatomy, prior treatment, current medicines or examination findings.
“Coordination can make the process easier to navigate, but it does not replace a doctor's assessment,” said Jiani Peng, founder of CURORI. “International users should always know which doctor and licensed institution are responsible for the medical decision.”
CURORI said a user should confirm the doctor's name, the institution where treatment would occur, the assessment still required, the proposed clinical scope, main risks and alternatives, quotation inclusions and the route for aftercare or urgent questions. Travel should remain flexible until the provider confirms the appointment and medical pathway.
Interpretation and practical support can help communication, but translated or organized information does not become independent medical advice from CURORI. Questions about suitability, technique, anaesthesia, medicines, recovery, complications or expected outcomes must be answered by the qualified treating professional.
The same boundary applies when CURORI organizes case examples or quotation comparisons. A prior case can help a user prepare questions, and a comparison can expose differences in scope or inclusions, but neither decides that a particular treatment is suitable.
Founded in 2025, CURORI is a China Hospital Alliance and Doctor Network serving international users across a current five-city scope of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hangzhou. Availability varies by provider, procedure, city and individual circumstances.
CURORI is not a hospital, clinic or treating medical provider. It does not diagnose, prescribe treatment, confirm medical eligibility or guarantee results. Qualified doctors and licensed medical institutions retain clinical responsibility throughout the process.
