Bangkok, Thailand — Independent recording artist Boss Ruff is preparing to release his highly anticipated new EP, Just a Little THRAXX, this July through Awesome Life Records. Blending Southern rap influences, club energy, house music, trap, and nostalgic ’90s sounds, the project aims to deliver a soundtrack built for parties, nightlife, and unforgettable summer moments.Known for pushing boundaries and developing a style all his own, Boss Ruff says the project was inspired by one simple goal: creating music that makes people move.
“I wanted every record to feel like an event,” Boss Ruff explained during a recent interview. “Whether you’re in a club, at a festival, riding through the city, or just with your friends, I wanted these songs to bring energy. I wanted people to have fun again.”
Leading the EP will be the infectious single “Pretty B” a high-energy anthems designed specifically for women to dance, celebrate, and enjoy themselves. This record combines booming production with memorable hooks, creating an atmosphere that feels equally at home in clubs, parties, and social media dance videos.
“Women have always been the heartbeat of great party music,” Boss Ruff said. “When women love a record, everybody feels it. That’s the energy I chased on this project.”
The EP also showcases Boss Ruff’s sense of humor on “Remember,” a lighthearted track built around a familiar scenario: running into someone from school years later after life has changed dramatically.
“Everybody has that person who suddenly remembers you after they see you’ve leveled up,” he laughed. “Instead of making it serious, I wanted to have fun with it. People are going to hear themselves—or someone they know—in that record.”
Another standout record, “Morning,” demonstrates Boss Ruff’s willingness to blur genres. Combining house music rhythms, trap drums, melodic rap, and subtle influences from the music of the 1990s, the track offers a refreshing contrast while remaining true to the project’s party-first identity.
“I’ve never wanted to stay inside one box,” he said. “House music makes people dance. Trap gives it attitude. The ’90s gave us timeless melodies. I wanted to bring all those worlds together in one record.”
While Just a Little THRAXX is packed with club-ready records, it also represents Boss Ruff’s continued artistic evolution. Having built his career independently while expanding his creative work across music, media, and culture, the artist views the EP as another step toward establishing a distinctive global sound.
Released through Awesome Life Records, Just a Little THRAXX captures Boss Ruff’s vision of modern rap without sacrificing personality, humor, or originality. The project embraces high-energy production, catchy songwriting, and a fearless willingness to experiment across genres.
Fans can expect additional visuals, exclusive content, and live performances surrounding the EP’s release throughout the summer.
